The purpose of the Northfield Grief Support Coalition is to provide a list of grief and loss support groups and resources for people in our community. By working together, various support groups are available throughout the year, along with special events, services and presentations on topics related to grief and loss. regardless of who you are, or the nature of your loss, we hope you find something here to assist you on your own healing journey. You are not alone.

FROGS is a group for Friends and Family to deal Respectfully and Realistically with Opiate abuse and Overdose. It is a place to Gather to Grieve and offer Support and Sympathy. Below is a “blurb” I have put together for you to post relating to the upcoming Grief Support group:
Pat Richardson, well respected therapist and counselor in Northfield, will be speaking at the opening session of the Grief Support Group at St. Peters Lutheran Church on Monday, March 23. The church is located at 418 Sumner St., and all are welcome to attend, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The group is part of the Northfield Grief Support Coalition and will be meeting for six consecutive Monday evenings.

This group has been listed on the calendar for over a month, but Barbara Knaak has just informed me the times were wrong. The problem is that when I’m signed into Google, the times are correct. When I’m signed out and look at the calendar entry, the times are wrong — A Google calendar bug which will probably force me to use some other calendar system.
The times mentioned below and in the Northfield News are correct: 1:30pm to 2:30pm.

Youth 12-step Recovery Group to deal with chemical dependency issues. Here’s the rest of the information:
We will be using a meeting room located at First United Church of Christ (View map).The First UCC is located on the southwest corner of the intersection of 3rd Street and Union, just West of the old Middle School. To help obtain anonymity, we will be using a door on the west end of the building along 3rd Street.
